US Durum Products produces five different types of couscous and packages it in paper bags and woven poly totes in sizes from 25 to 2,200 lbs. All of our couscous is kosher certified by the Orthodox Union.
Medium couscous is the most commonly used type in the United States. Medium refers to the size of the piece of couscous, which is between 1 and 2 mm in diameter.
Fine couscous is smaller than 1 mm in diameter. It is popular in North Africa and France where it is used in the same way as medium. Its smaller size also allows for alternative uses such as coatings, fillers, soups and cereals.
Whole Wheat couscous is made from whole durum semolina. It has a typical whole wheat flavor and color as well as a different nutritional profile from medium.
Organic couscous is produced from certified organic semolina. Our organic couscous is certified by Quality Assurance International (QAI).
Organic Whole Wheat has the same characteristics as our regular whole wheat but is made with certified organic whole durum semolina.
