Basic Couscous Preparation
Ingredients:
- ¾ cup couscous
- 1 cup water
- ¼ tsp salt (optional)
- 2 tsp olive oil or butter
Range Top Directions
In saucepan, bring water, salt (optional) and olive oil or butter to boil. Stir in the couscous and cover. Remove from heat and let stand for 5 minutes. Fluff with a fork before serving.
Microwave Directions
Combine water and salt (optional) in a microwaveable glass casserole. Microwave on high until boiling. Add couscous and olive oil or butter. Stir, cover and let stand for 5 minutes. Fluff with a fork before serving.
